Michael Waring is Chairman and Managing Director of Waring Group, the holding entity of MWT Foods and MWT Agri (Australia) also incorporating MWT Foods Vietnam and China, and its division MWT Macadamia (Australia). He is Executive Chairman of Laurel Nut Company USA (Waring partnership with Oregon Hazelnut grower and packer Denfeld Packing) and works with his brothers and business partners Andrew and Christopher Waring.

Chairman of the INC since 2019, Michael Waring is a member of the INC Board of Trustees (since 2009) and the Executive Committee (since 2013). In 2000 he became INC Ambassador to Australia, served as Chairman of the Ambassadors Committee from 2009 to 2015, and was inaugural Chairman of the INC Business Integrity Committee. He was the Chairman of the INC World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress Melbourne 2014.

He is current Chairman and a founding Management Committee member of Nuts for Life Australia, a nutrition and health education industry initiative aiming to provide information about the health benefits of tree nuts. He is also a past Director and Deputy Chair of the Australian Macadamia Society, and he continues to serve on that industry’s peak body Marketing Committee of which he is also past Chairman.
