Clinical Allergy Dietitian and Researcher at Royal Children’s Hospital, Australia
Vicki has been a clinical dietitian at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia for over 20 years. Her key area of expertise is paediatric food allergy. Her expertise sees her not only involved in the care of children and families with food allergies but training of dietitians, nurses and doctors.
She is a frequently invited to participate in conferences, training sessions, resource and policy development in the area of food allergy. She has many publications in food allergy research and recently completed her PhD investigating the prevalence, natural history and adverse events related to tree nut allergy, a previously understudied area of food allergy research.
She was the lead author of a scientific report commissioned by Nuts for Life on nut allergies in 2014 and was a keynote speaker at the Australian Nut Conference held in Melbourne in 2017.
Vicki is a member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy and was co-founder of the ASCIA Dietitians Subcommittee. In 2013 Vicki was awarded status as an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian by the Dietitians Association of Australia.
