Troy is currently Managing Director and partner of Laurel Foods, LLC. Troy has spent the past 29 years in the food industry and 23 in the Oregon Hazelnut industry. He started in the coffee industry, working for six years in various positions before moving into the hazelnut industry where he spent ten years with the largest hazelnut processor in the USA. He left that company as their Executive Vice President of sales and marketing to work for the Waring Group and presided over MWT Foods USA, LLC from 2006 - 2016. In 2014, Laurel Foods, LLC was formed with the Waring Group and a major hazelnut farmer and processor in Oregon. Laurel Foods is a value-added processing organization with Oregon Hazelnuts as its foundation.

Troy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Communications from Concordia University and his Master of Business Administration from Portland State University. Troy has served on various nut industry boards including the Oregon Hazelnut Marketing Board, the Hazelnut Council, and Oregon Gourmet Foods and is a past Board Member for the Association of Food Industry and former chairman of their Nut and Agriculture working group. Troy is currently the Oregon Hazelnut Marketing Board’s Promotion Committee Chairman.
